EXPLANATION TEXT

                                           Earthquake

Earthquakes are vibrations or shocks that occur due to the movement of layers of rock originating from the bottom or subsurface of the earth. Natural events that often occur in areas close to volcanoes and also in areas surrounded by vast oceans.

The earthquake occurred because of the shifting of the earth's lower layers and the terrible volcanic eruption. Earthquake events occur so fast with such a great impact and the effects it has are very extraordinary. Earthquake vibrations are very strong and spread in all directions so that it can destroy buildings and cause casualties.

Based on the cause of the occurrence, earthquakes can be classified into two, namely tectonic earthquakes and volcanic earthquakes. Tectonic earthquakes occur because the layer of the earth's crust becomes precarious or soft so that it experiences movement. "Tectonic Plate" theory contains an explanation that our earth consists of several layers of rock. Most of the crustal area will be washed away and float in layers, like snow. This layer moves so slowly that it breaks and collides with one another, which is why earthquakes occur.

Meanwhile, volcanic earthquakes occur because of an extremely devastating volcanic eruption.  So that the ground around the mountain trembled and even vibrated until it felt far, it was the cause of volcanic earthquakes. This volcanic earthquake is less common when compared to tectonic earthquakes.

In concluded that the earthquake can occur at any time, without knowing the season. However, earthquake concentrations tend to occur in certain places, such as the Pacific Plate boundary. This place is known for its ring of fire because of the many volcanoes.

The importance of music

Do you agree with the saying that music is one of the most important aspects of our lives? Yes, I agree. Music definitely has a significant role in our daily activities. There are several reasons
why music is everywhere.

First of all, music is a way to express what we feel For instance, when we fall in love, we tend to listen to love songs. Another example is when we feel sad, we would listen to melancholy music, and sometimes we purposefully immerse ourselves in our emotion. it also happens when we are happy, we tend to choose cheerful songs.

Secondly, mussic helps us to reminisce about past experiences. A person's favorite song could act as a documentary for that person People with impaired brain function, like Alzheimer's, would remember the details of songs they are familiar with For instance, an elderly woman who couldn't even remember her husband's name would remember the details of how her favorite song influenced her feelings. When she listened to the music, she would associate it with the emotion that came along with the music It made the song memorable for her.

Finally, music can motivate people to make significant changes in the world and make it a better place A song with powerful lyrics could move people to do something about the problem implied in the song As an example, we can see it in Michael Jackson's "Heal the World". The lyrics empower the people of the world.

So, try to imagine that a world without music would be bland.

NARRATIVE TEXT

 Fox and A Cat

One day, a cat and a fox were having a conversation. The fox, who was a conceited creature, boasted how clever she was. “Why, I know at least a hundred tricks to get away from our mutual enemies, the dogs,” she said.

“I know only one trick to get away from dogs,” said the cat. “You should teach me some of yours!”.

“Well, maybe someday, when I have the time, I may teach you a few of the simpler ones”, replied the fox airily.

Just then they heard the barking of a pack of dogs in the distance. The barking grew louder and louder – the dogs were coming in their direction! At once the cat ran to the nearest tree and climbed into its branches, well out of reach of any dog. “This is the trick I told you about, the only one I know”, said the cat. “Which one of your hundred tricks are you going to use?”.

The fox sat silently under the tree, wondering which trick she should use. Before she could make up her mind, the dogs arrived. They fell upon the fox and tore her to pieces.

Moral: A single plan that works is better than a hundred doubtful plans.
